Back when James was teaching guitar lessons to young students, he found out that the parents of one student were getting divorced. The catch: the student didn't know.

As James thought about the tough situation, his heart broke for the boy and he thought, "How would you tell a young boy that his parents were getting divorced? How could you be sensitive and yet truthful at the same time?" This song was the result of that question.
